Spa Botanica participates in Embassy Suite’s Make a Difference initiative. Our purpose is two-fold: to make a positive impact on our associate’s lives and increase work satisfaction; and to make a difference in the community in which our associates live.
As part of this initiative, Embassy Suites introduced an annual event called Trick or Suite, in which local special needs children are given the opportunity to go suite to suite and trick or treat in a safe indoor environment. Local businesses sponsor suites, decorate the rooms with fun kid-friendly themes and distribute candy. In 2012, our first event raised more than $6,000. Thanks to generous sponsors, our second annual event expects to raise more than $13,000!
The beneficiaries of the event are the Northwest Arkansas Women’s Shelter and the Children’s Advocacy Center of Benton County. The two organizations work together to assist and protect women and children who are victims of domestic violence. Coincidentally, October happens to be Domestic Violence Awareness Month so the fundraising campaign is very timely. You can learn more about the shelter by visiting www.nwaws.org and about the children’s advocacy center by visiting www.cacbentonco.com.
In addition, Spa Botanica will donate 10% of retail sales from its annual “Sparty” event held in September and 10% of sales for select treatments purchased from October 1 through October 23rd. Spa options include a “purple pedi,” a classic pedicure featuring Suncoast Salt’s purple moroccanoil mint lavender scrub and Farm House Fresh’s Pink Moon moisturizer; or a Moroccan Mint Lavender Body Exfoliation. 10% of all Moroccanmint Lavender salt retail sales will also be donated to the women’s shelter to show support for Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
